# Audio credits

Every sound in this folder is a real field recording from [Freesound](https://freesound.org), released under
**Creative Commons 0** (public domain dedication; no attribution is required, each is credited here anyway).

They come from **Tidewater** (https://github.com/dgreenheck/tidewater), whose build excerpted, trimmed,
crossfaded and loudness-normalised them (loops about -23 LUFS; one-shot sprites peak-normalised, their slice
tables are in `ambience.js`). For La Kapital they were transcoded from Ogg Opus to MP3 (44.1 kHz; loops 64 kb/s
stereo or 56 kb/s mono, one-shots 64 kb/s mono) so every browser, Safari included, can decode them.
